Mosaic Mural Making Intensive with Laurel True
Hosted by FJ Mosaic Art, Buenos Aires, Argentina
In this workshop the students will live a truly team experience to make a mosaic mural, getting involved in the entire process for creation and installation. These skills will let them face their own mural projects with confidence. Workshop begins with a presentation of public murals made by the artist worldwide. In this workshop, Laurel will teach about different approaches for community projects, design, location, materials and teamwork. Laurel will also teach the best practices for a safe and long lasting project.
We have organized 4 amazing days of mosaics and joy. Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 we will work at FJ Mosaic Art studio, which is located in downtown Buenos Aires. Monday 15 and Tuesday 16 we will install and complete the mosaic mural in a very beautiful place in BA suburbs, in which we will have access to a swimming-pool (it will be summer!), a traditional Argentinian meal (Asado criollo) with Argentinian wines, and we will be surrounded by a nice extension of trees and green grass.
The place where we will install the mural is the same where we organize the Mosaic Encounter since 2012 and literally thousands of people visit it every year.
This is a great opportunity to combine the pleasure of travel with the passion for mosaics.
For a little extra cost, you can enjoy a guided tour in Buenos Aires in which we will show you the most traditional and the coolest neighborhoods in the city (including some of the murals we have made).

If you are looking for accommodations in Buenos Aires, let us recommend you these two possibilities:
- A nice hotel located two blocks away for our studio: http://www.peronhotel.com/
- An option for furnished apartment rental: http://www.4rentargentina.com/
You do not have to make any special arrangement for Monday 15 night. You can spend that night at your hotel and come back to the place where we will be installing the mural next day. Leave that in our hands.
